With our Child and Family Christmas Appeal,  you can give a child, a parent/guardian or a whole family a gift of books for Christmas, because they deserve something new that is exclusively theirs. We can all hit a hurdle in our lives and at those times it is nice to have a fairy godmother to bring light into an otherwise dark situation.  Buying a book(s) for a child or family gives you the chance to be their fairy godmother.

How does it work?

By following this link, you can choose how many books you would like to buy or you could simply purchase a coupon towards a book or books and we will select the right books depending on the child’s age and interest. We will also consider the parent/guardian and their preference.

Just to let you know that if you choose to support one child, the average cost of a new book for a child is €10. If you choose to support a whole family the average cost is higher. Please do whatever is comfortable for you. Thank you in advance for your support of children and families in need in Ireland.

What do we do?

For every donation you make to the cost of a new book for a child or family, Tribes Press will donate another book (note: Tribes Press will donate books up to the value of €2,000). We will gift wrap the books you purchase, add something special from Tribes Press (e.g. book marks, greetings cards) and deliver them free of charge to each St. Vincent de Paul and Simon Community centre in need.
