Social Media Handling

Developing a good social media network across a number of platforms is vital to you for developing your presence and promoting your book to your audience.
The Social Media Handling Campaign is an five-week campaign in which you will be given a dedicated marketing consultant. Your marketing expert will manage your social media accounts and post on your behalf, working with you to ensure a consistent message across all platforms that is focused towards your target audience.

The Social Media Handling Campaign includes:

  • Social Media Consultant: You will be assigned a social media consultant who will create content for your social media networks based on your input and will post on your behalf.
  • Strategic Plan: Your consultant will create and implement an in-depth strategic plan for your social media platforms in conjunction with you.
  • Editorial Calendar: an editorial calendar will give a lay out of your campaign, which will include engaging current and potential followers, sharing your expertise, leveraging, discussions, and much more.
  • Content Support: your consultant will handle writing, editing, and proofing your posts during your campaign.
  • Reporting: you will receive weekly reports of your social media presence. This information will be used to fine-tune your strategy going forward. You will learn the effectiveness of your campaign at each step and your consultant will work with you to make any requisite changes. You will be given a final report at the end of the campaign outlining the social media activity for your entire campaign.

Below is the list of social media platforms included in the campaign:

  • Facebook: Facebook is the world’s largest social media network with 2 billion monthly users—more than a quarter of the world’s population. Approximately 75% of Facebook users log in to the site daily. As such, Facebook is an ideal platform to engage with your current and prospective readers.
  • Twitter: Twitter boasts over 315 million active users. 71% of those users say they use the Twitter app multiple times a day. The Twitter audience tends to be split evenly between male and female users, tends to have college degrees, and tends to have above-average incomes.
  • Instagram: Instagram has a community of over 80 million. It has become home for visual storytelling for everyone from celebrities, newsrooms and brands to teens musicians and anyone with a creative passion. This audience is ideal for telling your story and for introducing the world to your book.
  • WordPress: WordPress is the most popular content management system in the world. Millions of people use WordPress from brand new bloggers to small magazines to major publications. WordPress blogs receive over 46 million comments a month and there are over 2 million blog posts a day.

If there are other social media networks you are interested in that are relevant to your book, your consultant will work on these platforms in addition to the others.
