So, you have your story, but you’re struggling to give it form. How do you make it flow? Perhaps we can help you with an editorial consultation, designed as a step-by-step process.
Our editor will meet with you personally, through FaceTime or Skype and begin by asking some introductory questions about your book, for example:
- What kind of a book is it (general fiction; historical or science-fiction, fantasy, memoir, picture book, etc)?
- Define your target audience (ie: adult, young adult, children…what age)
- What are your reasons for writing this book? What inspired you?
Together with our editor, we will go through your thoughts and ideas. We will look at your synopsis or outline if that’s ready. If not, we will help you develop one and discuss tactics to more fully ‘flesh-out’ your storyline.
Together with our editor you will discuss the order of events, how you see your plot developing, where you want it to go and improving the form and flow. Sometimes the hardest part of writing your book is well… the start, the middle and the end.
At Tribes Press, we are conscious of the fact that this is your book; your vision. We want to help you grow your ideas and be in charge of your process.
Whatever stage you’re at in your writing journey, we are here to help.
